Google Ads Conversion Tracking

I implemented Google Ads Enhanced Conversion Tracking to improve conversion measurement and attribution accuracy. The objective was to ensure Google Ads could capture more complete data about user actions, even in cases where traditional tracking (cookies or browser-based) was limited.

What I Did

→ Tag Implementation via GTM – Set up Enhanced Conversion Tags in Google Tag Manager
→ Data Layer Mapping – Collected customer data (email, phone, name, address) from form submissions and checkout pages
→ Hashed Data Setup – Configured automatic SHA256 hashing of customer data before sending to Google Ads for privacy compliance
→ Conversion Tracking Verification – Tested events in Google Tag Assistant and verified enhanced conversions in Google Ads UI
→ Integration with Existing Campaigns – Linked enhanced conversions to existing purchase, lead, and signup conversion actions
→ Cross-Browser & Cross-Device Tracking – Ensured conversions are captured even when third-party cookies are blocked.
